Shalom, I am currently a student at Central Florida Community College (CFCC)  working to get my Associates degree in Fine Arts. I had the great opportunity of working under Mr. Jack Thursby while going there and he is one of the most well known realistic painters in the Southeast. I also had the honor of winning the CFCC student purchase award in the student art show and my painting “Enlightenment” is now part of the college’s permanent collection. As a child my works often were shown at FAFO (Fine Arts For Ocala) and Paddock Mall art shows for central Florida.

Judaism has always been one of my favorite subjects. Judaism is a vibrant and beautiful faith full of G-d given traditions. One reason for my interest in it would be my Jewish background and active role in the community synagogue. I believe that being observant is very important and creating art that is spiritual is a means to visualize the importance and meaning in those observances.

As far as my style in painting I like brushstrokes, I think it is amazing how you can make blocks of color combine from a distance to make a new color or shape in the human eye. Plus there is a certain excitement in a picture when you can see visible brushstrokes, almost as if the picture is alive, sort of like how Vincent Van Gough (one of my most favorite painters) has in his paintings.

You can also trust me to know about the dynamics of framing because I have worked as a custom framer for several years. I’ve seen the frustrations some people have with artwork that is just out of the ready made frame sizes; luckily for you all of my artwork is either standard size or has already been matted for you to fit into a standard size frame.
